jsuwak Lucid Nation is the real deal. 20+ years after the fade of grunge and there's still this duo recording music that bleeds personal conviction. It's good to hear that kind of music still being made. The melodies etc are unique, mysterious...give Telepathy a whirl and find out. Feels like I actually hear the ghosts shuffling around and whispering in the background of that track. Favorite track: Telepathy.

Telepathy 03:54
Telepathy Riding a bike at twilight chasing the flight of sunlight standing around at midnight just waiting for the morning light Imagine a game so amazing you forget you're playing I know a girl so all alone she thought she was the only one in the world without telepathy I know a girl so all alone she thought she was an alien from a planet of one where she was unwelcome Tomorrow we'll tear it all apart with some snotty eight year old remark but love even when neglected arrives when you least expect it Scanning the horizon waiting for an omen feeling frozen just like a stolen poem Imagine a game so amazing you forget you're playing wings stretched out over the endless a raven rose into canyon mist I know a girl so all alone she thought she was an alien from a planet of one where she was unwelcome When she saw him across the room looking at her like someone he knew it was like telepathy it was like Tomorrow we'll tear it all apart with some snotty eight year old remark but love even when neglected arrives when you least expect it

Civilizations rise, empires fall until wasteland surrounds us all how many times we gonna do this y'all? Ladies I'm speaking especially to you historically we know who gets screwed historically speaking it's me and you Butterflies, monarchs of California, helicopters fly, over fields of soldiers. Garden to desert, peace to war, how many times have we done this before? Whatever your name for God are you praying for rain cuz expecting different doing the same definition on insane Butterflies, monarchs of California, helicopters fly, over fields of soldiers. Doomed to repeat the history we don't know. How many of the awake does it take to make this thing go?

Gone Too Far 04:20
Gone Too Far He asked what would you give for peace? She asked what would you give for love? He asked what you give to be released from never having enough She said some people never feel safe anywhere she said some people feel like they own everywhere most people don't even seem to care he said or worry their way to nowhere She said everybody's got a resentment He said everybody's got an excuse She said everybody's got a reason He said everybody's been abused She said fate can conspire a forest fire from a star you don't know if you've gone far enough until you've gone too far We all live in our own life long shows every villain knows he's the true hero What doesn't kill love makes love stronger People like what they know but they don't know what they like they don't know what's wrong but they know something ain't right You don't know if you've gone far enough until you've gone too far We all live in our own life long shows every villain knows he's the true hero What doesn't kill love makes love stronger

Ghosts of Laurel Canyon In case there's anybody out there In case there's anyone left listening The day she became Julietta in her own operetta memory with a vendetta whispering something's gonna get you what she didn't know left a hole in her soul And maybe it's time to take a different street In lonely rooms where screens glare all she does is stare in there and dare herself to not be scared of her desire to declare now is the way to anywhere no one's ever seemed to care In case there's anybody out there In case there's anyone left listening The sacrifice of the summer gods goes unnoticed while the crowd applauds squads of frauds with square jaws who pretend they're ruled by law what they don't know leaves a hole in their soul And maybe it's time to take a different street

America as Russia America is Russia America ask Russia America is Russia Ineffective and neglected exasperated and full of hate better watch out what you say what ever happened to you, ese? America ask Russia Everybody's poor behind locked doors, Rich people only want more America as Russia, a fleeced state what ever happened to you, ese? Our leader is a billionaire all we care about is his hair America as Russia a karmic ricochet what ever happened to you, ese? America ask Russia America is Russia America ask Russia America is Russia Oh oh oh oh oh oh say can you see? Emmanuel, it's all gone to hell, no one cares, they just stare and so Macbeth sees the ghost then we become what we fear most America ask Russia America is Russia America ask Russia America is Russia Law and order searchlights and borders bullies and stoolies cameras and recorders we pretend to work they pretend to pay it's May Day every day they say One thing we know nothing is true at least both flags aren't red white and blue so we obey or they'll say whatever happened to you, ese? Oh oh oh oh oh say can you see?

A lo-fi musical seance for a time that used to be a place. Lo fi live recordings inspired by the vocal and guitar harmonies and poetic lyrics of the music made in Laurel Canyon in the 1960s and early 1970s.
